Product Description
The Big Bad Wolf has nothing on these sturdy cardboard blocks. They're easy to assemble, and they're lightweight so even the youngest builders can construct their dream home. Bright colors mean endless combinations. Blocks come in several different sizes. Includes 40 blocks.Good for young children however made of cardboard which makes them easily destroyed. All in all an ok item.
We just ordered these for our 2 year old, and I am now back to purchase another set....one just doesn't seem to be enough! They are very sturdy and will certainly get your little one's imagination going! Not to mention, they are fun to knock down after!
My kids really enjoy playing with these blocks. Like people in other reviews have said, we wish they included more of the red blocks and less of the yellow ones. There's not enough to make a fortress wall, etc. These aren't as durable and thick as the ones I played with as a child, but they are reinforced so that if a small child stepped on one, they won't flatten easily. Overall, good for the price, but we may need to buy more red blocks.
When the package with the blocks arrived, I thought I might have made a misstake in purchasing them. Lying there unassembled, they did not look at all sturdy. But when we had them all put together, the fun began. My granddaughter is very active 3 year old with an active imagination. We have built roads, walls, beds, tables, chairs, and some things that only she knows what they are. They are very sturdy and I believe they are helpful in developing fine motor skills. She is getting very good at stacking them "to the sky". We made a very good choice
I bought these for my one year-old daughter and four year-old son for Christmas and they are a huge hit! My son loves to build walls, towers and other things out of them! There are not quite enough blocks to build a fort or really tall wall, so we're going to buy another set really soon! This is a great indoor activity for the cold winter!
I rated the blocks 4 stars for durability- just because one of our small yellow blocks has torn and has to be taped to repair and some of the other blocks are a bit dented, but my kids can be kinda rough with stuff and these are made out of cardboard. I can say that these are pretty strong- my daugher likes to stand on them!
My son had these many years ago and loved them. bought these for the grandson and he appears to be equally happy. It takes a long time for the child to "grow out of them"
Gave these to my two grandbabies for Christmas. One is 4, the other 3. I can't beleive how much they loved them. They have built everything from castles to corrals. The blocks are lightweight and easy for little hands to handle and sturdy enough not only to sit on but to stand on as well. I anticipate years and years of fun. I love the fact that the blocks are cardboard and not plastic.
Got these for my grandsons' visit. The boys (3 years old)love them. They stand up to their use and ever better don't hurt anyone when they are tossed about. We store them in plastic storage boxes. Great fun!
First, these blocks are durable. I bought these for my oldest daughter. They ended up going through three children. There are still a few block around the house. I use them as spacers, to keep the couch from banging against the wall.
Second, these blocks are fun. My kids built forts, and walls, and roads, and more. As simple as they are, they were used a lot. One of the favorite games was for Dad to build a tower that reached all the way to the ceiling. Then it was time for the "earthquake" (complete with Daddy sound effects and child giggles) that had the tower tumbling down to the floor.
Third, these blocks are trouble free. If the kids want to stand on them, don't worry -- they won't be damaged. If the kids build tall structures, don't worry -- they won't hurt anybody. If the kids want to chew them, don't worry, they're safe for that also.
I thought the blocks were a nice toy, but my eyes were opened this Christmas. The daughter I bought these for left home, got married, and had a baby. (That's a nice order of things, but I won't claim the blocks helped with that part of here development!) This was the baby's first Christmas. It turns out we had a minor fight over who would get to give the new baby these blocks as a Christmas present! (My youngest daughter won.) You simply can't get a better review than that.
We bought these blocks for our 1-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son for Christmas. My husband and I assembled them (which was a fun little project for us to do together) and our 3-year-old son couldn't wait for us to be done. He liked building a house with these. And our little 1-year-old daughter likes to knock them down. They're very durable too! I was happily surprised at how well they are constructed. I would definitely recommend these blocks as a worthwhile toy for kids that promotes imaginative play. The only downside is... where do you store them? When they're not being used, we're going to keep them in a big sturdy trash bag.
