My 4 1/2 yr old son loves these puzzles. They are just challenging enough to keep him interested, but not so much that he gives up, which is what has happened with other puzzles. He puts them together all by himself and wants to do it over and over again. The very portable, durable box has a lid that can be used as the puzzle platform, so he could even play with it in the car.


I like this toy. My baby loves to play it. She keeps herself busy for hrs.


My daughter loves the dog puzzle in this box the best. She can put this one together quickly with no mistakes. She is less than three and loves all the puzzles and can neatly put it all away in the box. The one tiny thing is that she has a hard time sliding the lid closed. it must be matched up perfectly to slide closed. Awesome toy.


I bought it for my 30-month-old daughter. It is her first puzzle and after 2 weeks she can assemble all the pieces correctly without my help.


As with all of the Melissa & Doug products, the kids like them very much, but they are not well made. The paper on the front of the puzzles often isn't glued on well & therefore rips. Also the wood and cardboard on the puzzles breaks easily. These products don't last.


This is a great set. Each puzzle is made of wood, and has a shape stamped on the back so you know which pieces go together when you have a pile of them. The box it comes in has 4 separate compartments to keep each puzzle in it's own little area. I love that. Also has a lid which is nice. The puzzles seem very sturdy and the colors are so vibrant. The kids love these, and I look forward to purchasing different sets.


It is amazing watching him put these together. After a few days he could do them all by himself and pretty fast. He loves them and it is fun watching him figure it out. The durability of these is great too. The pieces don't fold or bend. Good quality product.


Our 3 1/2 yr old doesn't get to play with this puzzle very often because we have smaller children around that will eat the pieces. When we do get it out, it seems to hold her interest as long as we do it with her. Good challenging puzzle for her. We hope to see some progression on her ability to do it by herself.


Bought this for my 2.5yr old and she loves to play with it. It is a great travel size (check the dimensions as it is on the small size) and it holds everything very compactly. I love that it is multiple puzzles and can be organized by the bins within the box. Study product and I predict she will have this for a long time to come.


I too was a little surprised by how small the box was, it does appear larger in the picture. However, it is a great set of puzzles, my daughter loves them and the clean up is easy. Each puzzle has matching shapes on the back making it easy to seperate the pieces.

LEGO® Pink Brick Box

My daughter loves building with her Dad and this set is the perfect starter! She is 6 and followed all the directions on her own, with minimal help at all and loves this set! She has created things of her own as well, lots of fun!


Great toy, but not enough of all the colors, out of 216 pieces they are about a handful of black blocks. Great toys in general.


It's much smaller than I expected, and it sure doesn't seem like it's over 200 pieces, doesn't seem to be enough to build much of anything. I'm glad I didn't pay more than 14.99 for it - those other sellers that sell it for much higher are really ripping people off!


I ordered these for my niece (age 3) and now I realize the pieces are probably way too small for someone her age. However, she raved about them and plays with them under supervision. When I bought them, my daughter, age 9, expressed interest as well, so I ordered some for her for Christmas. She loves playing with them and I think they are adorable. I was thinking of ordering another set for my 4- and 7-year-old nieces.


It's great to find legos that don't have a specific theme, character, or way they have to be put together.
The new colors here are great for my 3 1/2 year old girl. She plays with her brothers legos all the times, but these are uniquely hers.
I also got here a 12x12 plate to assemble things on. This is a fairly small set of legos (as legos go), but can be added to the standard color ones.


The storage box is sturdy and love the special pieces (windows, face blocks, flowers ) is this set.


My daughter is five and loves legos. Great product..I only wish that legos marketed more of its product lines for girls.


The Lego Pink Brick Box is a delightful starter set for little ones who are graduating from the Duplo set. My 3.5 year old absolutely loves these as the bricks not only come in pink, her favorite color but also in other vibrant colors such as bold red, orange, yellow, green, navy blue etc.

The set comes with a set of instructions on how to build a fun little cotttage [with different versions of it, from simple to slightly more complicated], little people, a wagon, animals such as a horse, duck, dog, a little boat etc. There are 15 ideas in the booklet but one can come up with many more using one's imagination.

The bricks here are smaller than the Duplo and some are really tiny, so supervision should be exercised when allowing little ones to play with this set - and it's not just choking that's an issue here, but also 'disappearing' bricks. Some are so tiny that they can easily disappear into plush carpet and fall into nooks and crannies.

But those concerns aside, these bricks make for many hours of imaginative play and are great toys that can be enjoyed by children and parents together. I would suggest buying two of the set to begin with as that allows for more stuff to be built at one time. Final verdict: a fun, educational and value buy!


I got this for our 2 youngest daughters (ages 3 and almost 5). They love it and have so much fun with the lego building and imaginitive play. I do wish it came with a figure (girl). And I am sad to just find pink lego's and see belville is discontinued. I hope lego's for girls will continue. I am using this as a time for everybody to listen to music or memory work for home-schooling and have boys with other lego sets and tables.
I will add that our 3 year old is a bit young for this and is not one to put small things in her mouth. But she will get better with practice.



My son loves legos, and so that my daughter can enjoy them as well, I decided to buy her this set. It's a great starter set. Not a whole lot of pieces and they are really nicely colored. Very durable as all legos are. This is a great set for girls. What I like about this set is that you can make several different things with it.

The tambourine broke after two days, the company, Melissa and Doug sent me a new one. It was defective, there was supposed to be a hard cardboard underneath and it was missing.


Purchased for our 2 1/2 year old as a holiday gift, and she just loves it!
We have many types of instruments around the house, so this makes a wonderful addition to what we already have, and gives the kids more options when playing.
Nothing broken, or even chipped yet, which is great! Little one will knock the maracas together, she beats on the tambourine with the triangle stick like it's a drum. This set has held up very well, indeed!



My daughters love this box of instruments! My only complaint about it is that the xylophone is out of tune. It is made of wood, and when I try to play simple tunes like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, it sounds bad! The kids don't mind the out of tune xylophone, though - and they love all of the pieces. The only instrument missing is some type of drum. I found a small drum that fits with these instruments to add to the set.


This toy is so weak that my son broke the tamborine when he tried to play it.....snapped like paper.Do not buy........


Completely satisfied with this purchase. For $18 I think the durability is right on par. My 2yr old son really enjoys these toys. Big hit in our house.


I used to be a big fan of Melissa and Doug toys, but I have been very disappointed with some of those we got for Christmas. Especially this music se is absolutly useless. The thin paper on the tambourine tore 10 minutes after we took it out of the box, the egg shakers barely make any noise, it actually sound as if the inside beans were wet, and the cymbals don't work either. So the only thing that is quite nice about this set is the triangle and the red noise maker.
If you wand some good quality instruments for your child, go to west music store here on amazon and find all the instruments separately, the price you spend will be equal to this set and you will be much happier with the products {I got lolipop drum, egg shakers, triangle, cymbals with knobs and tambourine and it is uncomperable quality!!!!}


I bought this for my 2 year old daughter and she's in love with it. It reminded me of my elementary school music teacher's repertoire when I was young. My daughter loves music and dancing so it seemed an obvious choice to get for her, now she can make her own music.


We got this for Christmas for our 15 month old son because he loves music. This is a really great set that seems really durable. He's a little small for it now so he doesn't have a ton of interest in it for now but I'm sure later on he will have great fun with it. We also received the Bee Bop Band by Parents for him from family and that he loves. Probably a bit more age appropriate and cute as can be.


My son really likes this set. We all pick an instrument and march all over the house playing loudly.

Re: durability: like others have mentioned, the tambourine head broke within about an hour, but I took it off completely, and the tambourine works fine. In fact, it's probably easier to hold now with both sides open.

The wooden stick thing cracked as well, but that's because I was rocking out to Run DMC's "Walk This Way." We put some wood glue on it, and it's fine.

Everything else, including the maracas (at least for now!) seems pretty solid.

The other big plus, at least from my standpoint, is that nothing is obnoxiously loud. The triangle is probably the loudest thing, and it's generally pleasant enough. The cymbals don't "crash" or reverberate like you think they might. I counted that as a plus, frankly. The maracas are fairly quiet. The tambourine makes its typical sound. And the wooden stick thing and the clapper are certainly tolerable, at least in the hands of my almost-two-year-old. (It's a different story when it's my husband's turn with the wooden sticks!)

Overall, I like the set. It's just what I was looking for -- easy to hold, easy to play, not obnoxious musical instruments.


This toy really brings our family together. We can each grab an instrument and start playing a song, and no matter how random each of our notes are, we're all working together and having fun. The pieces are durable and well-constructed and I'm sure we'll have them around for years to come. This would make a perfect gift for any preschooler!

Product Description

Contains 8 smooth-sanded wooden foods, cutting board and knife. Food makes fun "crunch" sounds when sliced! Made of wood with non-toxic finishes. 12 x 11 x 2 3/4. Promotes social, fine and gross motor skills.

This item smells strongly of paint, and the velcro deteriorated quickly. The finishing quality is much lower than that of European and American made product equivalents. I had (foolishly) thought of Melissa & Doug as an American company, but a bit of research has shown me that M&D is essentially 100% Chinese low-cost manufacturing; it just pretends to be American.


We all loved this toy (including my daughter who was the actual toy recipient!). It is interactive, colorful and has nice smooth finish. The cutting sound and the velcro ideas are great. No sharp objects. It would have been much better if the toy's box came with a nice lid and a carry on handle. Other than that, it is exactly how the picture looks while buying the product and is worth the price! Good toy!


Good price love Melissa and Doug toys, they are quality made and last forever. Would recommend and shop again.


We purchased this for 2 different kids and they both love this toy. Kids love to have their own knife and cut their own food. Kids love pretending to be adults and copy mommy and daddy in the kitchen. I really recommend this toy.


My niece and nephew just love to play 'kitchen'. My sister tells me this was their favorite gift - the play food from Melissa and Doug!


Both my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter love this product. The pieces stick together with velcro so when you use the wooden "knife" to "cut" the pieces apart, the velcro separation sounds like cutting! There is enough resistance to make it realistic too. My only complaint is that it is a little confusing to little ones as to how the pieces fit back together on a couple of the items. There is only one way to make it fit back together. I guess that adds to the educational aspect though. All in all, one of the best items I have purchased and will likely add to the collection.


My granddaughter who is three years old, loves this toy. We gave it to her for Christmas a few weeks ago, and she plays with it daily. She likes to cut, and put the fruit back together to cut it up again. I would say the product is worth the money in terms of satisfaction for her.


Both of my kids have had a great time with this set, and even the adults in the family got a kick out of the whole idea of wooden/velcro cut apart food. Highly recommend.


This is a toy that my 2-year-old boy likes a lot. Different shape, color of these food item not only fun to play with, but also educational. I specially like the real sound from the Velcro!! This toy is well made, I purchased when it's half-off. I think it's great value even it's original price. You can tell the quality is good compare to other cheapy.


The picture doesn't do it justice. There is velcro between each 'slice' so it actually sounds like you are slicing something when the wooden knife cuts them apart. What a pleasant surprise! Very durable
