I was disappointed in the topics of the cards. I hesitate to write this review because apparently many people loved this product. I guess I was hoping for topics that we already didn't discuss and that would open dialog more. It is great that you can randomly just pick a card and talk about it though so it isn't a total waste. I think if it were a little cheaper I would be happier as I would feel that it was worth the price even if we only used it occasionally.

A great way to use this is in the car on long drives. The kids can pick the card and read the topic. Far better than video games, in my opinion. But we don't like to use it just sitting a the table at dinner.


My kids LOVE these question cards. Our 7 year old requests that we use them ALL the time at meals. We also have the "Right or Wrong" edition, which are geared a little more for those older than our 18 mo, 7 and 10 year olds. The "Family Edition" works great, though, for the ages of our family at this point. We also have a 14 yo, and both editions work for his age group. I anticipate buying further editions as our family gets older. The Teen one looks entriguing......
Also, they come in a VERY nice clear cube to hold all of the cards. Very sturdy. And attractive!


I purchased this for my neice after I received the "adult" version and thought she would enjoy the game with her family. While the questions in the adult game are provocative (not in a negative way), the ones in this "family" version are rather lame, kind of boring!


These cards are great, my 17yr old and 7yr old love them, and look forward to playing them at dinner time. When we get the same cards, my 7yr old remembers our prior answers sometimes, which impresses me with his memory~!


This is a great gift for yourself or someone else. we use it almost everynight at dinner. Just when you thought you knew your kin...take one of these cards out and ask the question....you may be surprised at the answers you will here.


This is a fun and awesome way to get the family bond and get to know each other better (particularly as the kids grow)! I hope to buy the other versions soon!


this product is a great ice-breaker or great for just having fun. It makes you think and also see what others think. it will also bring up debates and questions will come up; "why did you pick that?" or "I did know that about you". you're so imvolved that time will just fly-by.


We have 4 kids: 10, 8, 6, and 2 yrs. old. We got this product to change the focus of dinnertime from "eat your veggies," to something more fun, positive, and meaningful. If you're didicated, it could work. The idea is great, but there may be other similar products that are less expensive and just as effective. The kids have taken turns pulling a card out and reading it to introduce a new topic and that's kind of fun for them, too.


Great family conversation starter. Nice way to get everyone talking at the dinner table.



This is a great gift to get someone who is difficult to buy for. We love this game and use it at the dinner table. It sparks conversation and you even learn things about the people you thought you knew everything about.

The table itself is great, but I put the legs on it so my toddler could play with it and then went to take them off so the baby could play with it, only to find they don't detach as advertised. Upon contacting "customer service" I was told it was their mistake and that I could take it back to the store or they would send me a return label and a new one. I don't have the box or receipt so I can't take it back to the store and I don't have a box big enough to return it to them since it's quite large with the legs attached. I am amazed by the lack of service seeing as this is their problem. Just be sure yours is one that really has detachable legs before you throw the receipt and box away! Way to go, Leap Frog!


When I got this I thought it was pretty cute, but you see the purple door by the book? Pops right off it was lost the day I opened it. Not to long after my child found the button that makes the sounds from said book/door. Wow. When it's hit over and over again it sounds like "F U!" and on one page "rape me". I returned the toy but I mean, couldn't they have done something to prevent that? Like gee, attach the door?


My daughter received this as a gift when she was 6 months. She is now 9 months and she still doesn't like it much. I find it awfully boring as well. Whenever you push a button or start a musical reaction, it goes on forever. So how can a child understand cause and reaction if they are pressing buttons and the song goes on for 10 seconds? I think it would be a better toy if each button plays a shorter, different sound. All the songs sound the same after a while. The table has never kept her attention for more than a minute.

The good thing about it is that she is learning to stand and it is a good base for her to learn balance (with me monitoring of course).

Also, it seems our newer version doesn't have legs that can be easily removed. The instructions say you can, but provide no instructions on how to do it. The older ones pop on and off very quickly but we nearly broke ours.

If you want to get this toy because it is popular and recommended to you, I suggest you let your child or you try it out first. See how boring it really is.


I love this toy for the sake of my 15 month old son. My son has a very short attention span; he has had this table since he was about 9 months old and plays with it everyday. There is lots to keep him intersted, to include dacing to popluar/classic melodies (which I don't mind listening to again and again). It also taught him to open and close things as the table respondes to each action. I am not one to right reviews often, but feel that this toy turely is a must for a household with a baby.


I bought this when my baby was 6 months old. I propped it up on two legs and at the time, he could only really manage to play with the bead wheel. He's now 9 months and has figured out all of the gadgets. His favorite is the banjo turtle. It has a great assortment of music or words, so it doesn't get too annoying. It only takes a couple AA batteries and the battery life has been great so far. I love all the options and my little boy can spend a good amount of time in front of it. So far, on 2 legs, it has been sturdy enough for him to pull himself up on it. I haven't put it up on all 4 legs yet, so I'm not sure how sturdy it will be at that point.


I got this toy for my son when he was about 7-8 months old. We have only used it with the legs on. At first I would just stand him up to it which he absolutely loved..this was the first time standing by himself with me directly behind to catch him. Eventually he learned to pull himself up and stand fine on his own, and he will often make a beeline to this toy. My only complaint is that the table could have heavier legs...it's a little bit top-heavy. The whole table sometimes slides along the floor if the baby leans against it. Also one time the table almost flipped over on top of my baby when he was trying to pull himself up on it from a position nearly under the table. I caught it before that happened. Otherwise it's worked out very good and my baby just loves playing on it.


I got this toy for my son for Christmas when he was only 6 mos. and he loved it from the moment he saw it. He couldn't wait to get at it. My 7 yr. old daughter couldn't either. lol
Now at 8 mos old and pulling himself up he will stand at it for long periods of time and walk around it to make sure he explores all the functions. My daughter will sit with him and fight over pushing the buttons for different songs and sounds. My sons favorite part is the door that says "open", "Close", "Hello", "Bye bye." All of the functions use words until you flip the page of the book in the center of the table to change it to the musical functions. This table is very entertaining!
The legs seem a tad wobbley but otherwise it appears to be able to hold quite the weight.
I'd recommend to anyone!


My grandson has just started to stand and he loves this..he loved it when he was just able to sit and play with all the fun things to do. I would really recommend this..


I bought this for my twin grandchildren for Christmas when they were seven months old. It is still their favorite toy. They can now stand at the table and seem to understand the cause-and-effect of their actions. My daughter has to transport it between home and the day care provider's because they love it so much. They have many things to play with, but this always engages them.


My 8-month old son got this at Christmas, and loves it. It can entertain him for at least 30 minutes in his playpen. However, he recently started pulling up to stand, so we put the legs on the table. When he tries to pull up, the table starts to fall over - The legs are just not strong enough or wide enough at the base. However, the real problem is that the current model does not have legs that can be removed. once they're on - they stay there. There is no "magic" button to release them. Trying screwdrivers like others have recommended damages the plastic. So, I had to just go buy another one! When my son can stand by himself, he can then play with the one with legs.
