"My kids love their scooters" 2009-11-02
By rg (Boston, MA United States)
Our kids (6 and 8) took to the Razor A3 scooters immediately and had a blast scooting around Central Park for hours. They fold easily and are easy to tuck into a stuffed trunk, carry on the subway, take in a cab, keep in a hotel room or small apartment (the scooters, not the kids). The larger wheels are a real improvement over the old smaller wheels. Excellent and highly portable outdoor fun for the paved parts of the planet.

 "One Great Scooter" 2009-10-26
By M. Thullen
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter after she outgrew her first Razor. This model is a bit bigger than the standard Razor and the wheels are larger, making it perfect for older kids (and adults--my wife keeps kidding my daughter that she's going to take this one for herself!).

 "Not well made" 2009-09-23
By T. Oh (New York, NY United States)
I had to return two scooters. The last one was okay, but not perfect. These scooters are not well made. They click, when you turn the handle bars. The releasing mechanism is also not strong; it was loose.

Razor needs to change the company that is making these scooters for them. The quality is really shoddy.

Amazon was very good at accepting all the returns. I must applaud Amazon, but not the scooter.

We ordered this for our granddaughter and she loves it, she had an older one and it didn't last. This one is much steader and is much bigger. This is so good for her she is so pleased with it and rides it alot even in the house when she tries to get away with it. The color is great for her as well she was glad we got that color.

 "Extra Benefit" 2009-10-09
By American
I got this Scooter for my 7 year old girl. Not just because all the neighbor girls had a razor, but because I realized it might help with her balance. Wow! did I make the right call on that.

About a year ago I took the training wheels off her bike; needless to say, she wrecked and it was traumatic. Since she has refused to try again. It was my daydream fear of her being one of those adults who can't ride a bike.

The scooter however, has been a huge benefit in developing her balance on two wheels. After about two nights of riding it she is all over the place, with no fear and doing very well. As a father I don't feel like such a failure to teach my kid the art of two wheel balance anymore. Now she is ready to go for the bike again and join the rest of her age group riding around. This scooter is well built, has a much better foot deck than the original models. The large wheels are so much better for handling cracks in the sidewalk and bumps in the street. Very pleased with this purchase!

"razor cruiser scooter (wood kick)" 2009-10-02
By John L. Metz
We bought this scooter after many hours of looking at what is out there and safe...Our son was turning 5 and we wanted something he could enjoy for a few years. The scooter was a hit. The larger front wheel and wider board for your feet really helped him to just jump on and go. I am satisfied with the purchase, I feel confident my son will use it for a long while.

"Heavier, more solid scooter for bigger people" 2009-06-01
By M. Aiken Koppize
I bought this model of Razor to keep up with my kids. They have the standard original "A" models, which are low to the ground and relatively light in overall weight. The cruiser is heavier (maybe by @30%) and higher off the ground than the original. The larger wheels give it a somewhat smoother ride (although this could be attributed to it's spanking-new wheels). The deck is covered entirely with an anti-skid layer -- which is nice. Unlike other reviewers, I have no problem with it's "low" handlebars (and I'm 5' 11"). Plus, the deck board is "warped" by design, I assume, so that when you step on it, it flexes to a nearly-flat surface. Otherwise the deck would sag if it started in a perfectly horizontal position. Oh, and my kids can handle this too, even my 48-pound seven year old. The only drawbacks I can see with the wooden deck are the eventual dings and chips along the edge from curbs and such and the possiblility of moisture weakening the plywood over time. Probably need to keep this one out of the rain.

 "Bad Wheels?" 2009-05-26
By brooklyn cruiser (Brooklyn, NY United States)
It's a nice scooter; it rides well and is very fast. Not quite a xootr, but great for the price. However, the wheels that come with this thing is already starting to crack and fall apart. The front and back wheel already have big chunks of the wheel that fell off. The wheel makes a funny sound now when I ride. There are other cracks and it looks like other half-inch pieces of polyurethane is about to fall off. If this happens to the wheels in one week, it might be cheaper to just go with the xootr as I will be paying a lot of money to replace the wheel. I am around 150 lbs so am well below the 175 lbs limit on this. Otherwise, it's a good scooter; I just wish they had harder or more durable wheels (I ride in NYC).

My daughter loves the scooter, it's not a piece of junk like many of them I'm seeing quickly. We received the package promptly. Thanks!

Customer Buzz
My daughter was very pleased nwith her scooter the only compliant I have that the black razor cover things didn't stay on, but it still is a nice product.

Customer Buzz
My son uses this scooter all the time, he is 11 years old and this is his second scooter and he just loves this one.

Customer Buzz
Great product. I purchased two of them for my boys, and they really love it. Made pretty strong and can be folded easily. It was really easy and fast to put together for my sons. No tools requiered.

Customer Buzz
It was a nice scooter. I got it today and it is awesome. Except im to big for it and does not accomodate my 5'9" frame. Also the suspension thing is nothing more than a rubber thing. But it works well. Overall, im satisfied.

My kids loved their Razor scooters. My teenager still rides his around sometimes and it is beat up but still works. In the years since I bought my first Razor the price has come down and you can order it in the color you like. You can pack it easily in the trunk and take it to a park. This is a lot of toy for the money.

Customer Buzz
Excellent quality. Just what we were expecting. My 6 and 9 year old boys love their scooters.

Customer Buzz
We ordered two of these this Christmas. We have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. They love them, and we didn't even have to assemble any parts. They just unfold, and then they fold right back up for storage or travel. The boys took theirs with them to visit Grams and Pawpaw.

Customer Buzz
I bought this product through Amazon for my nephew for Christmas. When he opened it on Christmas day, we realized it was damaged and it was very difficult to insert the handles, since one of the metallic tubes where the handles are inserted was bent. Of course, returning it was not an option, since my nephew had been waiting for this scooter for quite some time... I had to use a hammer and spend some time trying to assemble it. Totally unacceptable, it is definitely lack of Quality Control, I am sure it did not get damaged during the shipping, since the box where it came was very big and it was well packaged.
I am not sure I will buy toys at Amazon again.... could it be that they sell irregular products????????

Customer Buzz
My 5 1/2 year old daughter LOVES her Razor! It is by far the favorite gift she received this Christmas. It is very easy for her to ride and maneuver.

Razor Jr. Folding Kiddie Kick Scooter

Product Description

Customer Buzz
Jake thanks you for the many hours of funds he already enjoyed riding his razor. I thank you for a prompt delivery.

Customer Buzz
We got the Razor Jr scooter for our 3 1/2 year old. You have to constantly kick to keep moving - it never glides like a classic Razor scooter. If you are looking for the stability of the 3 wheels with the glide of a classic Razor try the Mini Kick Scooter by Micro Mobility for around $75. If your kid is fairly coordinated and can balance then just get the classic Razor Scooter A.

Customer Buzz
Its really good, little one likes it a lot. I just wish it was little bit cheaper to deserve 5 stars.

Customer Buzz
I bought this scooter for my 3 year old so he would have a good quality first scooter that also looked like his older brother's Razor scooter. The first one that arrived in the mail had the plastic around the wheels broken off so we had to return it. The second one arrived and has been fine ever since but I worry about all the plastic. With a boy riding it (and one already arriving broken), I wonder how long the plastic will hold up. Considering the regular Razors are all metal, I'm not sure why the base and unerside has so much plastic on it. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, it's a great first scooter.

Customer Buzz
It surely is a fancy scooter I've ever seen.
But it was too slow and even risky (handle bar) for my 3 yr old boy.
Shipping was delayed, and the logo on the handle bar was printed on the back, and my boy kept asking me which way the handle was supposed to go.

Customer Buzz
Well I was very excited to get my three year old son the scooter he asked for. I decided to go on line to have an idea of exactly what I was looking for. My son is very smal for his age so I had no intentions of purchasing one on line because I didn't want to have to buy more than one to find the perfect size, like we had to do when we were searching for a tricycle that was just the right size. I came accross the Razor Jr.and I was impressed with it and since it very affordable I thought I would just give it a try and I am glad I did because my son loves his scooter and I am very content with it. The size is just right and it is adjustable for when he finally grows. I definitely recommand this product.

Customer Buzz
Two weeks ago we got Razor A Kick scooters for my 6 year old daughter and four year old son. Needless to say my two year old son wanted to keep up with the older kids and this scooter is perfect. Overall it is smaller than the Razor A, but has a wider sturdier base. Granted it does not go fast, nor does it have the maneuverability of the older kids' scooters, but my son is happy. He wanted his very own scooter and now he has it. There is no need for him to go fast or attempt to do any tricks. While the older kids are whizzing down the block he is right next to me putzing around, happy as can be. Also, my four year old will occasionally get off of his Razor A and get on the kiddie scooter. He can maneuver the kiddie scooter fine but doesn't ride it for very long because it lacks speed and he has to constantly keep pushing off with his foot.

Bottom line- It's a great scooter for 2-3 year olds. If your child is 4 or older, and remotely coordinated, get the Razor A Kick Scooter, they will like the speed and maneuverability way better.

Customer Buzz
I'd rate this scooter average. My kid like's it. It seems sturdy & well assembled. My only issue is the friction on the wheels is too tight. I emailed razor and they said that is intentional. Pretty much all my 3yr can do is put one foot on and push with the other, by the time he tries putting the pushing foot on it has stopped. Hopefully they will loosen a little or I can assist them.

Customer Buzz
We bought this scooter for our 4 year old granddaughter, who has average coordination. She was riding it the same day, and now we can't get her off it!
Our other, almost 5 year old, granddaughter had a 2 wheeled scooter that she was not able to master, but she had no trouble whizzing around on this one.
It is sturdy, easy to assemble and fun for the kids to use. Because it folds down, it is also easy to transport.

Customer Buzz
I was searching for the scooter for my 4 year old son for a long time. He wanted not the babyish one and I knew this is the one the first minute I saw it on amazon. It's right size, it's 3-wheeler (as I was looking for), it's age appropriate and it looks great. I specifically wanted blue and orange and it came as it was expected. My son loves it and he wants to ride it all the time.
