 "Isn't a fun toy" 2009-08-03
By Megan.K (Sioux Falls SD, USA)
This toy was giving a review on a parents website as being good for a children with special needs. I disagree. I work with special education. This toy doesn't work well. When it does work children with special needs have a hard time catching the butterflies intime, before they hit the floor. I do not recommend it for children with special needs nor do I recommend it at all.

 "Fun idea, poor design" 2009-06-24
By JDBrewer (San Diego, CA)
My 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter like this toy but more time is spent loading up the butterflies than actually playing it. I agree with the previous reviews that state, "It needs more power!" as half the butterflies never come out. It also needs a better design. The inside of the elephant has lots of nooks and crannies where the butterflies get stuck and cannot be pushed out with a weak motor. If they added another layer of plastic inside to streamline the butterflies up the tube it might be helpful.

 "Messy, Floppy, Annoying Toy" 2009-05-28
By Donna Manning (Texas)
This toy is a pain in the neck.

I thought it looked cute and may be fun for my twins. The "butterflies" all come out very quickly and mostly all over the floor. It takes a few seconds for the fun to be over. SO.... it's reset and restart every 30 seconds or so.

That is frustrating for the parent and the kids. The quality of this product could be better, as could the execution (timed releases of the butterflies perhaps).

I found it very annoying personally. The kids didn't really enjoy it after the first 2-3 resets.

"Fun for the kids a little work for the parent (repetitios)" 2009-05-04
By Saki mom (Apex, NC)
My daughter played with Elefun at a playdate and fell in LOVE. So for her 2nd birthday that same friend got it for her as a gift. She's 3 1/2 and still loves it. It eats batteries but so what? LOL The ONLY downfall is that it's a very repetitive game for the adult. As much as I adore my daughter, it gets very boring to have to refill the elephant over and over and over. Sometimes all the butterflies burst out of the elephant. I wish they could flutter out a little slower. Other than that it's sturdy and a lot of fun for the little ones.

 "fun when it works" 2009-04-24
By Jess (CA)
I found an ELEFUN game at a garage sale about 6 years ago and had never heard of it before. My boys played and played with it. It seemed to eat up the batteries rather qickly but they absolutly loved it. After a couple of years the fan stopped working, but to our delight they started advertising it on tv so we bought a new one. The newer model was a real disappointment. The fan never really worked and the butterflies came out about one per minute if you hold the trunk open and tap the side- not what any of us had in mind. Sad that they haven't quite got it right yet- very fun when it worked!

 "Love it!" 2009-07-21
By ChriSpenceRachel
This has been a great introduction to turn taking games. It is very simple and takes only a few minutes to complete a game, but that fits my 3 year old and 2 year old perfectly. The design in fantastic, it keeps all the pieces together perfectly. My daughter could play this when she was as little as 18 months old and mostly understood what was going on. And if you are creative you can extend the educational value beyond shapes and colors to addition/subtraction, greater than/less than, etc. as your children gain new skills. Overall, a great purchase!

 "Good for small children" 2009-04-09
By angel1533 (Bellefontaine, OH)
I have 2 preschoolers, and they get a kick out of this game....There isn't a whole lot of educational value in it; only in that it teaches kids the concept of taking turns. But it's fun for family time, and it's one that the kids can play themselves without an adult having to play (which can be kind of nice sometimes).

 "Hasbro Candyland Castle Game" 2009-03-30
By Barbara J. Votrobeck (Iowa)
Got it for my grandson's second birthday. Although it says it's for 3+, a two-year old can play it easily. I had to help him match the first couple of shapes and colors, then he was going to town on it himself. What he has to learn now is how to take turns with others in order to make it a game.

"perfect for a very active and impatient 2 yr. old boy" 2009-03-11
By Tina C. (St. Louis, MO USA)
This game is durable and easy to understand for little ones. I have a four year old girl, and a two year old boy, I also watch a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old. This game interests all of them especially my 2 yr old boy. Most games are either two complicated are two easy to break for him. He loves this game and asks to play it every day.

I keep all the pieces and the game boards in a gallon size freezer bag and put in under the castle which I keep with all the other games.

I got it on sale right before christmas for around $6.00. But I would gladly pay much more for it now that I know what a great game it is. It is really helping him with some of his colors and shapes and just playing encourages him to use his words. He doesnt talk alot and this game helps him want to communicate more! Would be too easy for over three or even for some smart 3 year olds if they didnt have someone younger to play with.

"Perfect for 2 year old" 2009-03-08
By TkkWI (USA)
We recently bought this game for our 25-month-old son. This is the perfect first game for a young toddler as the concepts are simple enough for a 2-year-old to grasp, and it moves quickly while teaching them about taking turns, etc. I would not recommend this game for children aged 3 or older. It's too simple and they will tire of it easily. If you're looking for a great first game, I would highly recommend it.

Hasbro Electronic Hyper Slide

Product Description

Be quick as you flick, slide or shoot the different-colored hyper discs under the arch. As the game unit calls out the sequence of colors for you to pass, the game "knows" if you've passed the right disc or not. Pass 'em fast before the buzzer blasts! Obey the voice commands, get your brain in the game and break the code, or guess which color will be called next. Play with a friend or practice solo.

Tabletop slide-and-pass excitement features electronic lights and sounds, plus an announcer's voice that talks you through three fast-sliding game modes. Electronic game unit comes with four Hyper Discs, each a different color; plus Hyper Band and instructions. Requires 3 "AA" batteries (not included). For 1 or 2 players.

Customer Buzz
For people who enjoy memory games, hyper slide is as much fun for children as teens or adults. Anyone who likes to challenge him or herself on remembering patterns or figuring out patterns will like playing. On the upside, it can be played with one player for when your 11 year old wants to play and an opponent isn't available. On the downside, the 'voice' is pretty loud and you can't control the volume so it's not conducive to playing in the same room as someone doing homework!

Customer Buzz
Base houses small pieces so I just have to toss the unit in the closet without worrying where the pieces went. Fun for all ages.

Customer Buzz
It took my kids a couple of weeks after Christmas to give this weird looking toy a try. Once we got it out and read the instructions it was a hit! Two of my children can sit across from each other and play (kind of like a cross between air hockey, & simon. You have to slide the correct color in a certain amount of time to keep the game going. It has a neat band that goes on so just one player can play and the pucks come back to you. Our ages are 3,7,9,& almost 11 and we all love it.
(The 3 year old can't really play it, but he thinks he can)

Customer Buzz
we started playing right away it is alot like simon gets faster and more confusing but fun

Customer Buzz
I bought this game based on the good reviews at Amazon. It really is as good as expected. The kids have a blast playing with it. I like that it can be played with 1 or 2 players.

Customer Buzz
We had a good time with this game on Christmas day. It's pretty fast-paced and good for all ages!

Customer Buzz
Hasbro Electronic Hyper Slide I gave this to my nine year old grandson and by the end of the weekend the whole family had played. It was quite a sight to see. Our ages ranged from four to sixty-two. Thanks for a break from video games!

Customer Buzz
I bought this toy for the grandchildren to keep themselves occupied after Christmas dinner and they loved it - even the "big" kids got involved! It's educational as well as entertaining!

Customer Buzz
Very fun game that I would highly recommended adding to your collection. Wide range of age appeal and there are four different games to keep it interesting. Aids in color recognition, memorization and concentration.

Customer Buzz
Love it, love it, love it. Hyperslide is a great interactive toy that multiple ages can play together or alone. It helps build memory skills and initiates thinking fast to react to the colors called out by the game itself. Seems to be quite durable thus far. The only reading required would be the instructions to learn how to play. Wonderful to incorporate younger children to play, benefits learning disabled that may not read as well as others since no reading is required to play the game.

Hasbro Playskool Honeybee Hop

Product Description

Kids will "bee" happy as they try to dodge the dizzy bee with a hop, skip or a jump. The motorized beehive spins the whimsical bee to the familiar song "Flight of the Bumblebee" and silly sounds, encouraging kids to get active as they play this creative game of keep-away. Kids can flee the bee - or chase after him. The 26" motorized arm spins at two different speeds to help kids develop coordination as they hop, skip and jump their way through this game of laugh-out-loud play. And while kids are focused on having fun, they'll also get to practice taking turns with their playmates. Includes beehive, two connector rods, honeybee and instructions. Requires 3 "C" batteries, not included.

Customer Buzz
My son loves this game, it's so fun for him to play and for us to watch. Sometimes he stands and hops, other times he chases the bee, and sometimes he lets the bee chase him. It gets progressively faster and he just squeals with delight as runs around. It's very sturdy also, he's stepped on the bar a few times and it didn't bend or get ruined. I would highly recommend this game!

Customer Buzz
My kids absolutely love this toy! My youngest got it for her birthday last week. The only thing I don't really like is the fact that with normal use (over 3 days), we have gone through 2 sets of batteries and the high speed setting no longer works. I love the laughter and fun that my kids are having, but it's frustrating... the things that have gone amiss already after only having it for 3 days. I am giving this toy 5 stars because of the fun factor.

Customer Buzz
My 3 year old son has a neurological condition that has resulted in global developmental delays, including not having the coordination to jump & hop like other toddlers. My son's physical therapist introduced us to this toy as part of the "therapy," and my son went crazy for it. He was laughing so hard, he was just in a giggling heap!

The premise of the game is simple, the bee spins around and plays the frenetic "Flight of the Bumble Bee" music, and the kid jumps over the bee. But the energy of the music and the activity is what really makes this a great little toy. My son enjoys it so much, he doesn't even realize he's getting a physical therapy workout!

Customer Buzz
My 4 year old daughter and her friends really had fun playing this toy at a birthday party. The music is tolerable and kids get loads of exercise BUT I want to put it back in the box and can't figure out how to take off the first section of the green arm (the part connected to the yellow base). My husband put it together and says that it can't be dismantled...SIGH..

Customer Buzz
MY GRANDAUGHTER IS 3 AND SHE LOVES THIS.SHE CAN PLAY BY HERSELF OR WITH FRIENDS.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FOR ALL CHILDREN.AS A GRANDPARENT I AS VERY PLEASED.

Customer Buzz
I bought this toy and really didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised at what a fun item it was. My kids can exercise when the weather is bad and they have a great time doing it. It's like the ol dplayground game "Helicopter, Helicopter Over My Head" without anyone having to get dizzy as they spin around.

Bonus: It is a GREAT WAY to wear your kids out before their naps!

Customer Buzz
I bought this toy for my son for xmas. he is 3 and half and a boys boy. meaning he is rough and tumbling and can usually destroy anything that he gets ahold of. This toy has survived now for several months. My boy has stepped on it, jumped on it, bent it, and dropped it. yet the toy continues to spin around. He plays with this toy now about 1 x a week now that the newness factor has warn off. I love watching him chase it around. This is a great toy for cold or rainy days where outside exercise cannot be gotten.

Customer Buzz
Great way to get your kids moving! Both my 4 and 2 year old boys love to jump over, chase, run from, and create new ways of avoiding the bee. It's been wonderful exercise as we've been stuck indoors this winter. The only draw back is that it doesnt work on carpet, just tile or cement.

Customer Buzz
My 3 1/2 yr old daughte rec'd this for Christmas and absolutley enjoyed it (as did her almost 6 yr old sister). Their laughter said it all. It worked great on our low rise carpet, which makes for a fun indoor activity/exercise in rainy or cold weather.

Customer Buzz
I love this product! One of my friends had it at her house and my kids loved it so much that I decided to buy one for them. It is something that they can both play with (ages 2 and 4) at the same time. What I really like about it is that all that jumping around also gives them exercise! It is simple enough to figure out and operate that my 2 yr old turns it on and off by herself. It really is a hastle-free toy. It is super durable. My kids have dropped it and stepped on it so many times and it is still in perfect condition. What a wonderful idea of a toy!
