Product Description
New updates make this classic game even more exciting in this aim, slide and score target game. In sorry! Sliders, you'll have a blast sliding and bumping someone back to start. But watch out -- it won't be so enjoyable when it happens to you! Modular game board provides four ways to play. For 1 to 4 players. The classic game of Sorry has always been a huge hit with our family. I picked up this newer Sorry game for my daughter's 7th Birthday and it has become an instant classic. Her friends always want to play it when they come over and it never gets old. The great thing is that a 5 year old can play this game with no supervision or coaching. The kids absolutely love this game. It's built well, easy to assemble and put away. Not too many pieces (like stacks of playing cards and whatnot).
The other great thing about this game is that it is equally fun for adults. It pretty much puts everyone at the same level, so it's not uncommon to get beat by a 5 year old, even when you try your hardest.
After the kids have gone to bed I like to switch up the board to create a new game where you have to really slide the pieces down a long alley... almost like shuffle board. I haven't tried it yet, but I think there are probably a few great drinking games that can be created using this game.
This is a great game and I am so happy that I purchased it.... And I don't even really like board games all that much. This one is different.
Pick it up, or you'll be Sorry!
This was fun for my 8 1/2 year old daughter for a few plays, but even with the varying set-ups it gets dull and repetitive fast. She got it out for a few playdates with friends, but none of them were interested in even finishing one game.
I'm surprised to hear complaints about set-up, though. It's easy and intuitive how to set it up the first time and once the plastic railings have been snapped onto the edge of the cardboard before the initial play session, they do not have to be dismantled for storage. After the simple initial set-up, you just have to lay one piece of track on to another to prepare to play. It's not complicated at all.
It's hard to pry children under 15 away from their electronics. They don't want to interact with their peers, parents, grandparents, etc if electronics are available.
This toy quickly took its place in the household as "if we can't play electronics, this is the next thing we'll look for".
It's especially good for mixed-age groups. The preschoolers can play it with the teenagers, or their grandparents. Even when there's a horde of children wanting to play, they work out the rules among themselves and negotiate (no, that's not over the line, yes it is). This is a good social game.
Picked this up recently and the first night it sat in the box. The second night I set it up for one player to toy around with and that was enough to get the daughter to try and after a couple games my son jumped in. Overall had a great time, only worry is that the cardboard may warp.
This game is fun for the whole family. For easy game, you can follow the instructions and use the scoring pawns to do simply counting. In order to teach my 5 year old son more math problems, we do not use the scoring pawns. Instead, we let him count all the scores everyone get. So he has been practicing addition with 20. Best of all, we let him do the math in his head instead of writing it down. So this is really helping his addition skills tremendously.
This is the perfect game for family game night! The box says for ages 6+, but my 3 year old has no difficulty sliding her pawns. We help her with scoring, but since the highest score is 5, even she can count out her points for a round. My husband and I enjoy the game too, as does my 6 year old. And with several different game boards to choose from, I think we'll be playing this quite a bit for many years to come.
As far as the reviews of people who thought the game was too hard to put together or had too many pieces, I have to disagree.
The whole family enjoys this game! Our 4 and 7 year olds can even play without help or supervision. The only drawback is the many pieces that are necessary to play the game. There are four different center boards, as well as two boards for each player, and then there are the 16 pawns that are used for scoring. We keep ours in a large ziploc bag. I would recommend this to friends.
My kids played this game more than anything else they got for xmas. It actually takes precedent to video games (yay!!) Great toy for the price.
We are big board game fans in this household. We enjoy Sorry the most. When we saw there was a new spin to the game, Sorry Sliders, we had to have it. It is a lot of fun. My children love to slide it on the double boards.
Bought this game for my 10 yr. old boy for Christmas. We played it that day. Mom, Dad, & son all had a ball with it. Setup is simple. Most of the setup is a 1 time thing - so the next time you play it is even quicker to get ready. All 3 of us loved it! I was more amazed to find out a day or two later that my 4 yr. old and 2 yr. old boys also had a blast with the game - and were quite proficient in sliding the Sorry sliders! They beat Dad every time we played (and I was even trying!!)! This game has been sold out most places for awhile and for good reason! IT IS A BLAST!! There are so many configurations to setup that the game never becomes boring. Each game - no matter how you decide to setup and play - only takes about 15 minutes to play - so you don't lose interest - and either do the kids!! Basically - Sorry Sliders is shuffleboard with a Sorry slant to it - in that the points you get from your Sliders are what you use to get your normal Sorry pawns safely home.
EXCELLENT GAME!! Well worth the money - no matter what you pay to find one!! It is already easier to find online now that Christmas has passed.
