Product Description
Kids' imaginations can reach for the skies as they create their very own GeoTrax world. The GeoAir High Flyin' Airport brings an all-new way to expand the GeoTrax world. With so many ways to play, this set includes a main tower with a kid-activated elevator, three bays where the plane can fuel up, fix up and board passengers, a security gate and drop-off platform, and the most "elite" team in all of GeoTown -- Eagle 1 R/C jet plane and his pilot Captain Wright. The pilot figure can sit and ride right inside the plane. GeoAir R/C planes simply clip onto the flexible GeoAir track and fly around the entire set, doing loops, swoops and daredevil dives. Activate the plane and sound effects using the easy-to-operate kid controls on the new R/C controller. With this set, connect the nine included pieces to form ten feet of GeoAir track; then attach it to the tower and runway to form a "figure nine." You can expand your GeoAir set in two ways: connect the GeoAir track to another GeoAir site, or connect the GeoTrax ground track to the entire GeoTrax rail and road world. Additional GeoAir sets sold separately. Requires six "AAA" batteries, not included. Measures 36"L x 15"W x 33"H.
My son received this toy for his third birthday. There was a piece missing from the track and we couldn't put it together right away. We called Fisher Price and they sent out a whole new piece. He loves it.
I bought this for my 2 yr old grandson for Christmas. He loves it and still plays with it. It is nice because it attaches to other Geo systems. I recommend it if you have a playroom to set it up as it takes up quite a bit of space. You can put it away but it takes time. It was definitely a good buy.
We got this toy as a gift and when I saw it I didn't think it would be the kind of toy my 2 year old and 3 1/2 year old would play with a lot. But they BOTH love it and play with it quite a bit. They LOVE the airplane sounds, being in control of moving the airplane, the control tower and the moving platform. They take a bunch of their little cars and have them sit in the tower and go up and down on the platform and move in and out of the area on the bottom. They just love it and are always thinking of new ways to play with it! It's also very durable and has withstood being pushed off the table many times, pulled and drug around the house. It is not terribly small, so definitely keep that in mind before purchasing, but I think that's another reason why they continue to play with it.
We are Geotrax fanatics here. I buy mostly used off an auction site, but Santa sprung for this new because he thought it looked so great. It is great, but my 4yr old & 3yr old find it dull. You press a green button & the plane zooms in one direction. Red button it stops. Ok...now what? Hmm...press the green button again? How about just walk away from it & leave a 3 foot tall structure completely abandoned in the family room for weeks until mom puts it up on the auction site to get something more fun.
so..
Pros- excellent quality like all Geotrax. Built for hard play.
Cons- if your kids have lots of tracks, trains & other destinations this will get dull fast & you can't store it anywhere. It's just huge.
All three of my children love our GeoTrax sets. We have numerous trains, track configurations, and two airports. Allows for creativity when setting up train track layouts, yet easy enough for younger children. Durable but with limitations. The airport track was twisted the wrong way but we were able to correct that so that the plane could follow the track again. Kids love it and play with it often (almost daily).
My son loves this flying airplane. We also bought the yellow plane - both can be used on the same track at the same time - neat. Unfortunately he discovered that a lot of neat stuff can be hooked up to this set - a barn and a bridge not to mention train tracks. There was this nice little video included with the high-flyer and now my son WANTS IT ALL. This will end up being a problem because my living room is already cover in Thomas the train engine and besides the high- flyer and the barn and a very small track there just isn't anymore room in my house. Other wise this is a wonderfull toy and quite durable.
My 3 grandchildren loved this toy (ages 8, 5 and 3)! They have many sets of geotrax and the fact that this interwove with them, was great. They were able to reconfigure the track themselves. True to Fisher Price, it was great quality and the airplane stayed on the track with no problems. It will be a classic for many years.
My grandson loved this when he first got it, but soon the track wouldn't stay connected, and the plane would snag where the track came apart. That bugged him a little, but he just re-connects the track and gives the plane a push. I guess it's a nice lesson in making do, or accepting that toys don't always work the way they're advertised.
As a grandparent, and as for the cost of 40 bucks or so; which I think is a little steep; it should be more durable and there should be more track. He still likes playing with it, though. The plane noises are fun, and the toy is fun when it works.
THERE ARE TWO OTHER PLANES WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED FOR THIS... WHEN i FOUND THEM... MY SON WAS IN HEAVEN
CANT GO WRONG WITH TWO TYHPES OF TOYS...
GEOTRAX AND IMAGINEXT
My Son saw this at the store and really wanted it. I bought it for him for Christmas. He will play with it for 5 minutes at a time and then he's bored. It's cute but it doesn't do enough. The add on's are like $50! That's way too much for something like this. It needs to do more stuff and not be so much money!
