I teach mentally handicapped adults at a local community college, and if you want durable puzzles that your students can use over and over again, I strongly recommend getting puzzles like this. It's durable and can get students to focus their attention. Worth getting.

My hyper active 20 month daughter loved it - while nothing lasts her interest for more that 2 minutes .. this kept her at one place for atleast 15 -20 minutes.
I was hoping that this puzzle will last long.. but my daughter was able to chip a couple of blocks after 2 months of active use.
(My daughter took out the door of our TV stand when she was 9 months - just to give you a perspective that this product is not too flimsy).
I definely recommend this product.

My almost 2yr old learned her numbers with this puzzle. It's wonderful and easy for little fingers. This is definately not a cheaply made puzzle.

I bought this because my 22m likes puzzles and has good hand-eye coordination. He has showed an interest in letters and numbers recently. I tried to find something that was nicer but couldn't. I would preferred a sturdier puzzle with more vibrant colors. I don't really expect much from M&D products and this lived up to my expectation: it gets the job done. But really, I wish it was nicer. It clearly isn't going to last long and I would have chosen something nicer if I had found it.
That being said it has helped his number learning. We often play with it in companion to an alphabet/number book.

It does exactly what it is suppose to do. The wood is cheap so expect some splintering and if a piece gets stepped on it will break. It is almost the like the wood of a Popsicle stick.
